Tracy Rausch is a Certified Clinical Engineer and has a Master’s degree in engineering from The Catholic University of America. Currently, Ms. Rausch is the founder and CEO of DocBox Inc., a medical device company addressing point of care systems integration, workflow management, closed loop control and safety interlocks. DocBox’s products are designed to improve patient safety and the efficacy of patient care by bringing intelligence directly to the bedside. She is currently active in the advancement of safe and open communications between medical devices through standards and open source efforts. DocBox is a close collaborator with the Center for the Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology Medical Device Plug and Play Program. Tracy’s area of expertise are in the implementation of technology into the clinical environment, integration of point of care technologies with information technology, improvements in clinical efficiency and safety, and understanding and translating clinical needs into engineering systems requirements. Tracy to date has received approximately $14M in US government contracts related to medical technologies.
