Dr. Kearney has been in the defense industry for over 20 years. She specializes in ballistic missile nuclear warhead technologies, including the invention of a replacement heat-shield material which was successfully flight tested on both the Air Force and Navy’s test warheads, the MK 21 and MK 5 respectively.
Dr. Kearney also has a broad background in aviation. She successfully delivered her test aircraft ZA003, Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner to the Farnborough Air Show in 2010, which was the first trans-Atlantic flight of the highly advanced composite aircraft.
Dr. Kearney has a MS degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, a MS degree in Aeronautical Science, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a PhD in Business Administration, specializing in Aviation / Aerospace Operations and Management from Northcentral University. She is a senior lifetime member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and a previous advisory council member for the Pacific Northwest Chapter.
Dr. Kearney currently is the Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems Technology Manager for Supply Chain. She is also an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
