Mr. McAdams is the Science and Technology Strategic Integration Lead for the Expeditionary Basing and Collective Protection Directorate (EBCPD) at the Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC). He is responsible for the development and fostering of strategic partnerships, leading all science and technology planning and execution, and provides technical support to the EBCPD. He also maintains an active role as a project officer for shelter system projects.
Prior to this position Mr. McAdams worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Fabric Structures Team where he was a subject matter expert for soft walled shelter systems. In addition to subject matter expertise, Mr. McAdams managed multiple programs in excess of 18M dollars.
He began his career as a US Army Civilian in 2004 as a student engineering intern for Project Manager Force Sustainment Systems for the Force Provider Team at NSRDEC.
Mr. McAdams has extensive knowledge of expeditionary shelter systems, and basing infrastructure components. He has been the joint lead for multiple shelter system evaluations in austere locations to include Kuwait, Guam, and Alaska.
A Native of Holliston, Massachusetts, Mr. McAdams holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
