Tech Brief: LI-MPFCs separate energy storage from energy conversion functions using Lithium Ion Chemistry and commercially available micro particle fabrication technology. The mass energy density approaches the theoretical value of the basic LI chemistry by eliminating conductor and structure of batteries and storage limit determined by size of tanks available.


Value Proposition: The LI-MPFC system is a viable source of power for Directed Energy weapons and electric vehicles, providing large quantities of energy storage and simultaneously providing multi-MW powers. These two factors make the LI-MPFC system ideal for mobile platforms that require electric power for both mobility and electric weapons. Finally, the LI-MPFC also enables a better way to transport very high energies, via pipes rather than electrical conductors, which results in inhanced safety in confined personnel spaces. The technology is also applicable to the more mundane renewable and remote energy storage systems for expeditionary forces.
