Tech Brief: N5’s chip-scale gas and chemical sensor is low-power technology, highly reliable and low-cost - ideally suited for wearable platforms and IoT applications, and would allow various electronics devices such as smart phones, tablets, wearables to sense and measure various gases and chemicals in the air.

Value Proposition: N5’s disruptive low-power, chip-scale chemical detection technology can enable next-generation of body-worn, compact detectors capable of detecting both existing and emerging chemical warfare agents (CWAs) and host of toxic industrial chemicals (TICs). N5’s chip-scale technology by utilizing nanoengineered structures, can detect host of chemicals in presence of non-target analytes. N5 chip-scale sensors can address the capability gap that exists between the desperate need for low-power, compact (wearable-type) detectors capable of detecting various toxic gases and CWAs encountered in battle fields and hostile territories and current inadequate mature sensor technologies that are used in handheld monitors.
