Nishati Endurance™ 25 Multi-voltage Output Solar Panel

AFFILIATION:   Nishati, Inc., McLean, Virginia, United States

Track: Energy & Resilience
Area: Soldier Technologies
Tech Readiness: TRL 7

Tech Brief: 25+ watts of actual power capacity for charging military and commercial batteries and small electronics. Weatherproof, durable, lightweight and compact. Easily fits in a day-pack. Requires minimal space to deploy. Effectively scavenges solar energy in less than ideal conditions. Scalable and programmable for a variety of power needs.

Value Proposition: The Endurance 25 provides mounted and dismounted infantry, other foot-mobile warfighters, and small sensor or communication platforms with reliable and effective access to energy. Distributed, renewable energy access increases tactical reach, autonomy and mission endurance for individual warfighters and teams. This increases combat effectiveness by supporting greater force dispersion and reliable sustainment of digital command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) devices and small personal electronics. Used separately or as part of a system of systems to charge central/wearable or device batteries, or power devices directly, the Endurance 25 increases power surety for warfighters and sensors in remote areas and sensitive missions, reducing the need for heavy, redundant battery loads and logistics. The ability to conceal the system while harvesting solar energy and charging, even in partially obscured conditions, and to survive harsh environments and handling provides a renewable energy solution appropriate for individual warfighters to use in nearly every climate, location and mission set. The Endurance 25 also fits into tactical team (e.g. fire team) concepts, as multiple systems may be “ganged” through very simple connections to deliver more power and/or increase charging rates.
