Tech Brief: CyberFence is a machine-to-machine (M2M) industrial cyber security device that protects automation and industrial control systems (ICS) from cyber threats. Its cyber-mission is to partner with critical infrastructure owner-operators and integrators for energy, utilities and government to secure gaps and vulnerabilities that threaten vital operations.

Value Proposition: Cyber security is essential in today’s turbulent environment – that’s why 3eTI’s CyberFence devices are independently validated for robustness by government and military agencies. Products are tested and certified to meet a wide range of military information assurance (IA) standards and accreditations required to be able to deploy in national security systems and DoD applications such as FIPS, Common Criteria, UC APL and environmental testing. The Defense space cannot always prevent a critical system from being compromised, however preventative measures can be taken to mitigate any malicious impact it may cause. CyberFence is a prime tool in the defensive arsenal against sophisticated industrial control or embedded system attacks. The CyberFence devices supports the use of government-grade encryption and key management protocols, allowing the device to integrate with a secure network infrastructure, and be re-keyed and reconfigured over the network. This enables the network manager to immediately revoke access to devices or users believed to be compromised, push out new security rules and signatures, and develop a complete device-to-system level situational awareness picture. No company previously has provided tailored defensive layers purely focused at protecting the critical edge device, allowing for a balance between security and operations.
