Track: Energy & Resilience
Tech Readiness: TRL 9
Tech Brief: Unique, patented, containerised, small-scale, modular waste-to-energy plants that convert biowaste on-site into carbon-free heat and electricity, removing the need for waste transportation or grid connection. Scalable, easy to transport and quick to install on sites ranging from urban areas to remote disaster recovery sites, with automated operation and remote monitoring.
Value Proposition: Large, permanent National Defense sites belong to one of our main target markets: large scale catering waste producers with a need for electricity and heat. The FLEXIBUSTER™ is specifically designed for a range of general catering and food wastes, offering National Defense the possibility of making their permanent sites more sustainable and grid-independent by allowing them to process their own bio-waste and convert it into directly usable sustainable energy and heat. The systems are furthermore designed to be quick to transport and install, while being modular and easily scaled for larger or smaller waste streams. This allows National Defense to be able to install the systems to serve as temporal solutions for energy generation and waste processing in disaster recovery sites.
