Tech Brief: A far-field wireless power transmission technology. Efficiently transfers energy via microwave/millimeter wavelength spectrum across line-of-sight distances up to several miles.
Value Proposition: The Wi-RES far field wireless transmission technology is not a “charging” technology, per se, but instead should be viewed as an energy infrastructure or “enfrastructure” systems platform. The current wireless space is replete with companies claiming to have near-field wireless technologies operating over short distances — a few feet to a yard or two across a room, as example. This is intended for the consumer space only — charging of portable electronic devices at very low power. The key differentiator of Wi-RES is that it is a far-field wireless power technology -- capable of transmitting much higher power densities over much longer distances.
