Tech Brief: Nanochon is designing an implant 3-D printed to fit a patient’s specific needs, allowing for less invasive surgical procedures and more effective recovery. It is like a traditional joint implant that quickly restores movement. Over time, damaged joint tissue grows into the implant, leaving behind a fully natural joint.


Value Proposition: Our technology is currently designed to return young and active patients to a full quality of life and movement pre-injury. Since the overwhelming majority of battlefield injury is to young and active adults, wounded soldiers could fall directly under this umbrella. In many ways the value proposition for DOD is the same: our technology would be a much more effective and sorely needed clinical option to restore mobility after catastrophic joint injury, while also saving time and money caused by costly complications and longer procedures.
